Buffalo-born and bred songwriter and producer Lynz is releasing her second single of the year, ‘just wanna be yours’ on July 22nd.

The GRAMMY Camp alumna, who released her self-produced debut album at 16, is now living in Los Angeles and has become a regular at all the cool LA pop gatherings and showcases, and is in the process of co-writing with artists she discovers for sync and future singles.

‘just wanna be yours’ is a chill song with a dark, twisted romantic story a la The Weeknd that leans a little more indie than mainstream pop.

Lynz co-mixed with Justin Hergett, known for his work with FINNEAS, Ashe, and Niall Horan, ‘just wanna be yours’ shows that Lynz is a force to be reckoned with as a writer and producer.

Indie pop artist Lynz returns with her latest self-produced single, “Fallin’,” available on all streaming platforms on February 28, 2025. A chaotic, honest, and emotionally raw track, “Fallin’” blends shimmering synths, dynamic guitars, and immersive storytelling to capture the rush and uncertainty of falling for someone.

”‘Fallin’’ is about that moment when you realize you’re truly falling for someone. Sometimes, feelings have been bubbling under the surface for a while, but your mind hasn’t come to grips with it yet—or maybe you’ve tried to deny it. This song is about finally accepting it,” says Lynz.

Known for her high-energy, live-looping performances, Lynz fuses guitars, synths, and drum machines into a one-of-a-kind indie pop sound. Originally from Buffalo, NY, she produced her debut album, Dusk at Dawn, at just 16 years old, winning the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame Songwriting Competition. A GRAMMY Foundation GRAMMY Camp scholarship recipient, she relocated to Los Angeles in 2024 and quickly became a sought-after co-writer and producer.

Getting connected at renowned showcases like Pop Hangs and Monday Monday at Hotel Café, Lynz has solidified her place in LA’s indie pop scene. With a sound reminiscent of Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, and Owl City, she kicks off 2025 with “Fallin’,” the first of multiple singles leading up to a full-length album in 2026.

Lynz and Christian Simpson have teamed up to release a new duet called "Soaring," an upbeat and dreamy track that encourages listeners to take a leap of faith and bet on themselves and their dreams. Inspired by Owl City, the song is all about diving in head first with no fear and never being defeated by obstacles, both internal and external.

Lynz and Christian, who originally met through SoundCloud around 2016 when they were releasing songs in high school, have been working tirelessly on "Soaring" for years. The song has undergone multiple revisions, with countless Zoom calls and tweaks between the two artists during the pandemic. Despite the challenges, Lynz and Christian were determined to see the song through to completion, a triumph in and of itself.

The chorus lyrics - "Diving in headfirst, with no fear. No parachute, alone in the atmosphere. I think I see the ground, but I’m not going down. Not much to lose, just the world to gain. They say to win, you’ve got to fight through the pain. But they won't see me drown, 'cause I am soaring now" - are both catchy and empowering.

Lynz and Christian wrote the lyrics and produced the song themselves, recording their parts separately and working on it entirely remotely. The result is an upbeat and acoustic track full of exciting synths and melodies that will get your toes tapping and your heart racing.

"Soaring" was brought to life by mixing talents of Justin Hergett, a Grammy-nominated engineer. (FINNEAS, Nick Jonas, Grabbitz, Small Pools) Lynz had the courage and took a leap of faith to ask Justin to work on the song, and he gladly accepted, taking it to a whole new level.

The mastering of "Soaring" was handled by Tess Greenham, daughter of Grammy-winning mastering engineer John Greenham, who has worked with artists such as Billie Eilish, Finneas, Sam Smith, Katy Perry, and Lindsey Stirling.

Lynz, a dreamy singer-songwriter and producer originally from snowy Buffalo, New York, has been turning heads since she was just 12 years old. With her first self-produced full-length album, "Dusk At Dawn," Lynz proved that she is a force to be reckoned with, even winning the 2016 Buffalo Music Hall Of Fame songwriting competition. Recently, Lynz honed her skills at Westlake Studios in Los Angeles, producing for other artists and playing local shows.

Christian Simpson is a music producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist who has released several albums, plays in multiple bands and at church, and collaborates with a wide range of artists.

Together, Lynz and Christian have created a duet that is both inspiring and catchy, urging listeners to take a chance and reach for the stars.
